Irom Sharmila Chanu is carrying on her indefinite fast to repeal AFSPA (Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958). She became an icon not only for Manipur but for the entire North-East and now all over India.

It is time she gives up her fast and marries her Goan lover and lives a meaningful life. If she continues to fast for ever she will endup as Swami Nigamananda, who died after a 114-day fast for saving Ganga.

Anti-AFSPA activists are holding her hostage and not allowing her to break the fast. The fast can now be taken-up by others with her moral support.

Let us not lose another precious soul. She has to live!

Palestine Statehood - Muslim brotherhood put to test

Muslim brotherhood or Islamic unity will be tested when Palestinians press for official recognition at the UN.

It is unlikely that it will go through as USA - a permanent member in Security Council - will veto any such move to placate Israel.

However, what happens to be more interesting is how the Muslim countries (please refer list below) will behave. It appears that palestinian state will not have enough members to support within their own fraternity

How to select Senior Citizen checkbox in IRCTC reservation.

IRCTC has this good feautre - Select Passengers from Master List. You can add frequent travellers in this list to save some typing later. Click the Select Passengers from your Master List link

Which will openup the following window. click Append to add a new passenger

Fill all fields (yes all are mandatory)

Click Save and return to the main screen from there you can select the Passenger and Click Add which will add to the reservation list

By this you can save upto 40% of your time in IRCTC .. heard it somewhere right!

Indigo - Please don't sell Emergency Exit Seats

I was totally surprised to see the Emergency Exit seats in Indigo were sold to 'emergency unfit' for extra 300 rupeers. These seats are for a particular purpose and making some bulky gentleman/lady occupy the seat as they pay for the comfort is totally riddiculous and irrational. Requesting IATA and Indigo management to remove these seats from saleable seats and reduce the risk of other passengers
