Kali Yuga is the last of the four stages the world goes through as part of the cycle of yugas described in the Indian scriptures. The other ages are Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga and Dvapara Yuga. The duration and chronological starting point in human history of Kali Yuga has given rise to different evaluations and interpretations

In Hinduism, Kalki is the tenth and final Maha Avatar (great incarnation) of Vishnu who will bring to an end the present age of darkness and destruction known as Kali Yuga. He will establish a new era based on truth, righteousness, humanism and goodness, called Satya Yuga. The name Kalki is often a metaphor for eternity or time. The origins of the name probably lie in the Sanskrit word "kalka" which refers to mud, dirt, filth, or foulness and hence denotes the "destroyer of foulness," "destroyer of confusion," "destroyer of darkness," or "annihilator of ignorance." Other similar and divergent interpretations based on varying etymological derivations from Sanskrit - including one simply meaning "White Horse" - have been made.

The general interpretation is Kalki will end the life on earth - the end of Kaliyuga

When will the World End!

Siva Ganesan, Madurai (98431 18552) has done extensive research in this topic. According to him there are  close to six different sources that predict the end of Kaliyuga and one of the source is Nostradamus.

He has quoted various sources in his work. According to him .. the Kali yuga end is apparently close .. we have already started the beginning of the end!

What next?

What is more interesting is the end will come in he form of a Nuclear Catastrophe, which will be followed by the Hrudya Yuga/Age . where people will be more truthful.

I felt strange when he said that the Satya yuga/Hrudaya yuga has already started .. and people are looking for more truth (Arab revolution, drubbing of corrupt and liars in politics etc ), which he also attributed to the height of people ..

Contrary to the Kali yuga .. where people will be dwarf ,.. the Hrudaya yuga will have taller persons. Siva argues that this has started and the erstwhile Russians and Japanese are 'growing'

Irom Sharmila Chanu is carrying on her indefinite fast to repeal AFSPA (Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958). She became an icon not only for Manipur but for the entire North-East and now all over India.

It is time she gives up her fast and marries her Goan lover and lives a meaningful life. If she continues to fast for ever she will endup as Swami Nigamananda, who died after a 114-day fast for saving Ganga.

Anti-AFSPA activists are holding her hostage and not allowing her to break the fast. The fast can now be taken-up by others with her moral support.

Let us not lose another precious soul. She has to live!

Palestine Statehood - Muslim brotherhood put to test

Muslim brotherhood or Islamic unity will be tested when Palestinians press for official recognition at the UN.

It is unlikely that it will go through as USA - a permanent member in Security Council - will veto any such move to placate Israel.

However, what happens to be more interesting is how the Muslim countries (please refer list below) will behave. It appears that palestinian state will not have enough members to support within their own fraternity
